Biodiversity
"Biodiversity" means that there are many different types of plants and animals living in an area. The more different species there are, the better it is for nature.

"Nature-inclusive" means taking nature into account when building or planning so that plants and animals have a place.

Climate adaptation
"Climate adaptation" means adapting to changes in the weather, such as more rain, drought or heat, so we can cope better.

"Heat stress" means that people, animals or plants suffer from extreme heat, for example when it is too hot to feel well or grow normally.

More difficult words
How good the soil is for plants to grow in. Good soil has lots of nutrients and can retain water.

If there are too many stones and concrete in an area, preventing rainwater from getting away and making it warmer.
A special place in the ground where rainwater can flow and slowly sink into the soil.
