Outdoor centre
Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen, in the middle of National Park Nieuw Land, is the starting point for a voyage of discovery through the Oostvaardersplassen. Various walking and cycling routes, numerous excursions and other activities start there.
At the visitor centre, you can have a snack and a drink and enjoy a wide view of the lakes from the terrace. The centre has an information desk, shop and a film and meeting room. The film room is also available for meetings, training sessions and workshops for 10-20 people.
In the shop of the Outdoor Centre you will find products for going into nature, such as hiking maps and binoculars. But also surprising souvenirs and gifts such as nature books and unique regional products.

Naviagation address: Kitsweg 1, 8218 AA Lelystad. The outdoor centre is difficult to reach by public transport. Public transport bicycles can be rented at Lelystad NS railway station.

The outdoor centre is accessible for the disabled. There are 5 disabled parking spaces in front of the centre. There is a disabled toilet in the centre. From the centre starts the wheelchair-friendly route the sea eagle route. This route is closed every winter from early January to early April.
