Count insects
Together with the Butterfly Foundation, Lelystad Municipality is committed to the smallest residents of Lelystad. Will you help? Come to the kick-off meeting of Count Insects Together on 22 April 2025. During this meeting, you will learn all about (nocturnal) butterflies and bumblebees. And you will learn how you can help count these critters. Will you join us?

If you are interested in nature and want to contribute to biodiversity, you are most welcome. Little or no previous knowledge is needed. The locations where the counting will take place will be determined in consultation. It is therefore also possible to count at your favourite spot in the municipality.
During the kick-off meeting, you will learn all about (nocturnal) butterflies and bumblebees and we will explain exactly what participation in TIM entails. Welcome, even if you are not yet sure whether you can participate in the counts. If you want to take part in the moth counts, you can immediately take a moth trap home with you.
